The European directives on public procurement apply to public contracts whose value is equal to or greater than certain levels, known as thresholds. These thresholds must be revised every two years. On 18 December 2023, the Moniteur belge published a ministerial decree of 13 December 2023 transposing into Belgian law the financial thresholds for the application of the European directives on public procurement for the years 2024-2025. The European Commission updated these thresholds by means of delegated Commission (EU) regulations on 16 November 2023. The new thresholds apply from 1 January 2024.
